G4 Canada launches ‘Tech Junkie’ search to host the most excellent summer adventure TJ to host TV segments on the first ever Wired Road Trip with stops at Canada’s coolest summer events

Toronto, ON (March 1, 2007) - G4tech TV Canada is launching a search for a ‘TJ’ (Tech Junkie) to host on-air segments while travelling coast-to-coast this summer in a gadget and gaming RV on the first ever Wired Road Trip. The Wired Road Trip will take the TJs to some of the Canada’s hottest summer events ranging from extraordinary races to extreme sporting events and rocking concerts. G4tech TV has mapped out the route and has supplied the ride but needs someone who’s got game to team up with the summer tour as the official Wired TJ.

The Wired Road Trip will appear online and on-air on G4 through weekly video podcasts and broadcasted segments allowing viewers around the world to join this exciting journey.  The energetic host will travel from city to city participating in the electrifying journey of digital know-how, interesting faces and places and introducing viewers at home to the latest gaming, digital entertainment and gadgets.

Anyone interested in becoming G4’s TJ can learn more about entering the competition by applying online starting February 28, 2007 on www.g4tv.ca .  Eligible entrants can submit the application online and upload a short video explaining why they will make the right TJ. Mandatory criteria for applying includes: a driver’s license, experience with a camera and an enormous amount of energy and spunk.  G4tech TV needs someone ready for the ride of their life! The deadline is March 24th and will be followed by an online voting period from March 28th - April 6th where G4techtv viewers get the chance to vote for their favorite TJ.
