Winning tech junkie to host segments on the first ever Wired Road Trip stopping at Canada’s coolest summer events

 

 

Toronto, ON (April 2, 2007) – G4tech TV Canada unveils the top ten Tech Junkie (TJ) hopefuls vying to host this summer’s Wired Road Trip. Since the contest was announced in February 2007 entries from across Canada have been pouring in. After narrowing hundreds of entries ranging from wacky, tech savvy gaming gurus to spirited reporters and future starlets, G4tech TV Canada will hand over the final decision making to the public. Viewers can cast their votes starting April 2, 2007 when video submissions will be available on G4 website (www.g4tv.ca).Online votes will determine the first ever Wired TJ to be announced Friday, April 13, 2007.

The chosen Wired TJ will visit cities across Canada on an electrifying journey of digital know-how, introducing viewers to the latest gaming, digital entertainment and gadgets. The Wired Road Trip will kick off in Montreal the weekend of the Grand Prix and then set out to visit some of the Country’s hottest summer events appearing online and on-air on G4 via weekly video podcasts and broadcasted segments inviting viewers around the world to join in this exciting journey.

The finalists range in age from 18 to 25 and their resumes boast backgrounds in broadcast journalism and acting and experience as web masters and gaming experts. All 10 contestants share a love for technology and a keen sense of adventure. Online voting will take place between April 2 and 10, 2007, with the polls closing at midnight.
