G4 Canada launches new Leo Laporte show - The Lab with Leo Laporte premieres on April 23, 2007

April 10, 2007 – Toronto, ON – Canada is pleased to announce the launch of a brand new technology show – The Lab with Leo Laporte. Premiering on Monday April 23, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. ET/PT and again at 9pm ET/PT, the one-hour show will air daily on Canada and the How To Channel in Australia. The Lab incorporates the latest tech trends with product reviews and advice, while demystifying everyday technology headaches.
An icon within the tech community, host Leo Laporte will continue to help viewers with their computer troubles and gadget questions. His internationally popular brand of tech knowledge appeals to technology enthusiasts of all levels, from novice to tech savvy. The show will also draw on special guests to play an active role in the explanations and demonstrations while assisting Leo with viewer’s queries. With the use of Skype, viewers are encouraged to converse with Leo via webcam, essentially making them a physical presence within the show.
The first season will feature some exciting visits from old friends and tech experts to bring viewers the most up-to-date information on the hottest technology trends. Leo’s former co-host Cat Schwartz will be stopping by to share new ways of using Skype for video conferencing and will show off some cool new gadgets for kids. Chris Pirillo will also be back for a couple of episodes to share the perils of online dating and to walk viewers through Undo.tv.com. CEO of Nettwerk Music Group, Terry McBride; hosts of Tiki Bar TV, Jeff MacPherson and Kevin Gamble and computer fanatic Steve Gibson are also among the special guests invited to join Leo in The Lab.
