Girl gamer scores greatest summer gig as host of G4 Canada’s Wired Road Trip


TORONTO - April 18, 2007 - G4 Canada is pleased to announce Airdrie, Alberta’s Brenna Pierson as the host of its summer Wired Road Trip. Her official title is TJ (Tech Junkie) and she will be traveling to cities and events across Canada introducing viewers to the latest gaming, digital entertainment and gadgets. Competing with hundreds of other entries vying for this summer’s hottest job, Brenna was selected as the most engaging, tech savvy, gaming enthusiast to lead the G4 Wired Road Trip on this exciting summer journey.

An active member of the PMS Clan, an online community of female gamers, Brenna is eager to show how females rock the gaming world. Describing herself as a “military brat who grew up traveling from place to place”, she is excited to get back out on the road. A second-year university student, Brenna is thrilled to spend the summer traveling her country.

“I saw this experience as the opportunity of a lifetime and knew I would be perfect for the role,” said Brenna. “Being G4 Canada’s Wired Road Trip TJ is the coolest thing that has ever happened to me! I am totally stoked and can’t wait to add some techie spice along our exciting route.”

The Wired Road Trip will kick off in Montreal the weekend of the Grand Prix and then set out to visit some of the Country’s hottest summer events. Segments from the trip will be available online at and on G4 Canada via weekly video podcasts and broadcasts allowing viewers at home to join in the fun. Traveling cross country in a gadget and gaming RV the first ever Wired Road Trip will be the trip of the summer.
